  1. Hey all...

    quick question.

I am burning a dvd of animation files that were compressed with Divx and M-Jpeg compression in AVI format. When I try to drag them into Sonic Reel DVD or Sonic My DVD they say they are an unreadable format.

what format do I need to save these avi files in to be able to import them?

    thanks.

I hear MPEG2 works well for DVD.

There are guides on the site for this kind of thing.

Again, there are guides on the site for this kind of thing.

You're new, I understand. But you want hand-holding.

You're learning to crawl. At this site, we teach people how to walk or run or skip or how to use crutches and wheelchairs. We don't teach them how to crawl. For those that need to learn how to crawl, go read the guides.

Could I answer your last question easily? Sure. But you'll have 15 more as soon as you launch the program. Go read a guide. It's nothing more than pre-answered questions, with pictures even.

  6. There are severl free programs out there to do what you want to do. Myself I would use NeoDVD Plus because it's an easy program to use and it actually works without crashing or locking my computer.

  7. WHAT????? Hand holding? I just ask for the name of some programs...which bob w graciously gave me one. Txpharoah please feel free to ignore any further posts if you find them beneath your godlike knowledge of the DVD force. Simple question, that required a simple answer...that's all.

I am readint he guides...but Virtual Dub is not working for me very well. I will remember that in the future all questions must be at an advanced level...I am sorry for my need of assistance.

I see no mention of VDUB in any of these guides. It took me all of 5 seconds to find these. Baldrick has laid the site out very easily.

    OK, top left:

    then

How to convert to DVD with TMPGEnc

It's pretty straightforward from here on in, just experiment and see how you get on. Sometimes you learn more when you get it wrong than when you get it right.
