sorry,im not a typest and never heard about capital letters being rude as i am not an avid on line person, just an adult in my 50's new to this. well as my origional post i asked about reviews saying +r's are best for video and -R's are data. trying to figure out best 4x dvd-writer to get for now. cnet review on the tdk 420n was a bit better than the pioneer drv-a05??? i see on line pioneer dvr-a05u. what the difference between the plain A05 & the A05u???? is it the same.? i mainly going to back up my video collection and some data, will the pioneer be the best choice or the tdk +R's??? as i can get them for about the same costs. thanks for any further advice.

Why don't you start by editing your post and remove all the CAPITAL LETTERS. Using all CAPITAL LETTERS is considered to be shouting and is generally rude behaviour in the online community.

no mater if you get a -r or a +r , both are fine and about the same in terms of what can play on a stand alone .. dont believe every review you see ..
then again dont believe everything you read either ..
