Are there any dvd-r's out there that do not have purple on the bottom? Is there any silver out there? May be a dumb question, but I was curious about this. Anyone with any info would be appreciated. Thanks![]()

I see lots of silver dvd-rs, but I think these are silver top... he was looking for silver top and silver bottom, not purple, unless I'm reading his post wrong...

For example, the last page I listed. It has things like silver/blue, silver/silver. I believe that the first color is the top color and the second color is the bottom.

Ok, newb alert,, what difference does it make if the writing surface is silver or purple? Are there any advantages or disadvantages??

It all has to do with the dye that is used. I'm not terribly sure what the advantages/disadvantages are of the different colors.

Exactly how do you get from that statement that he wanted a silver top? heh, oh well. -
