Like Columbia, Sony, Dreamworks, Fox, Disney, ect.
Is there something that is pretty recognised as the best.
Like the Photoshop of DVD Authoring. Not looking for something easy.

Oh BTW it doesn't need to be cheap. and ease of use doesn't matter.
I don't plan on getting it. Just curious. -
There is a lot more equipment involved in the pro world than what you're probably used to.
Here.. choke on this one for a while... I'll try to find a few more sites with some products I'm familiar with (I'll re-edit this post with updates).

One of the largest issues is that most of these products are not priced online. You've got to call them. This happens as you move into professional products in any media format, especially video and photography. Also remember that Hollywood does not capture. They have the progressive source. Also remember that Hollywood uses lots of proprietary hardware and software.I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored. -
Thanks. Again, it doesn't really matter what I am used to. Or how expensive it is. This is just out of curiousity.

Oh yeah...it's cool. I've got a few extra hundred thousand dollars laying around that I'm not doing anything with. Heck, it's just sittin' around collecting intreast anyway. I need this stuff for my family videos.
Duh...Geronimo -
Sony has a system CALLED VIZARRO for a cool US$$50,000..
Its interesting that the vizaro has certain features SCENERIST and PANASONIC pro systems lack..But not even SONY STUDIOS new york uses their own product..At SONY new york they have CREATOR systems
by SONIC costing the same..
Its only in Japan and Hollywood that SONY seems to use their own gear in their own studios
