    I have visited the MS WindowMedia Player 9 website but can't find information on making my Player play avi's. I can get sound but not video. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I am running WinXP and have all updates applied.

    you are missing divx(avi) codecs. go download the divx codec from the tools section. you may want to get the xvid codec also.
