  1. This is the upcoming (I hope the digital bits is wrong on this one) cover art for Terminator 2.......Being re-released for the "Extreme Edition" with 16 minutes of additional footage not seen in theatres. BS.

  2. Anything to make a buck I guess is fair game however I won't waste my money on it. Isn't there going to be a T3 movie soon?

BTW I was told that they are making the movie "Rendezvous With Rama" (from the Arthur C. Clarke book), anyone know about this?

Yes T3 is coming out very soon. It looks pretty bad to me. They got a female Terminator now who is called the Terminatrix.

The little blips I saw looked horible. But a friend sent me the international trailer and it changed my mind. Instead of a "its gonna be a horrible movie", I'll change my view to "I'll give it a chance".

What? a T Girl? This is a disgrace, well i guess that the MPAA would do anything for money.

They've been saying this for 6-8 years now. Apparently, Morgan Freeman is the driving force behind it, and David Fincher was most recently rumored to direct. See http://www.rendezvouswithrama.com

perhaps i'm missing the point, what's so bad with the cover art? and the ultimate edition has been out for ages in the UK, what's up with that? i have to say the trailer i saw did make it look like nothing more than a cash in.

Seems very simple to me, either buy it or don't.
I mean, it's not like the original T2 DVD has just come out, has it?
If it had been a couple of months earlier, and then a new release had just come out with new footage I could understand getting pissed about it, but you either like it enough to buy it again or if, like me, you never bought the first T2 then you consider buying the new one.
    Simple, or maybe I'm simple

  11. From the extra's:

"T2: High-Definition"-The complete theatrical version of the film in Microsoft Windows Media 9 series, playable in high resolution and 5.1 sound directly from your PC
    WM9

  12. While I'm not a big fan of WM9, I've heard that this high-def version looks very nice. I am gonna get this DVD, since I don't have any of the previous releases (my VHS doesn't count).

  13. Windows Media 9.....thats going to be a difficult rip. will it be some sort of WM9/DVD hybrid?

  14. 1. The version on this DVD is the 16-minute-longer version that is ALREADY included via seamless-branching feature on the T2 Ultimate Edition DVD.

    2. However, the DVD was mastered using High Definition master. On my 42" 16:9 TV, with Progressive-scan DVD player, this version of the release looks much better than the Ultimate Edition (which is also much better than the first edition)

    3. WM9 version does look VERY EXTREMELY GOOD. If you have an HTPC and you can connect the progressive output to your HDTV, the picture quality is even better.

ps: No, I'm not buying the Extreme Edition, I just reviewed it. I'm waiting for the eventual HD-DVD version of it in a couple of years.

Well I dont have it on anything but VHS yet, so worth a look in

Hmm, could this be a new trend.. DVDs being released with PC files on instead of MPG.. they don't have different storage capacities for each anymore after all..

the Terminatrix? you're joking right? if that's her name then T3 sounds like a turkey. a shame. i loved T2(best action film of all time).anyway before i read that post i had thought T3 might be good. i had seen the teaser and heard it had been directed by the guy who did u-571. even if it's a turkey though, i'll have to watch it sooner or later. i mean, it's terminator is'nt it?

T3 isn't on my list of movie to go see this year. It sounds much more like a rental. T3 is only being made to capitalize on the Terminator name make money.
