Is it possible to edit DVD menus, so you can delete the options that are not available (language or sub) after you transcode the movie.
I would like to backup up with menus and some extras,
I' m trying the DVD2one method.
Which one' s better, DVD2one or DVD Shrink ?
Thx

MenuEdit has changed quite a lot from the one you have posted link to!
There is a MenuEdit web site http://menuedit.dimad.net
You will find latest release/info there. -
How can I Modify the background picture in the menu ?
Seems like I can only delete outlines of the menu but the picture still the same (I didn' t register yet, does MenuEdit in full version modify the picture too ?)
It' s cool that I can' t choose the option I remove from my backup by deleting the outline, but I would like to edit the pic in the menu vob too so I won' t see non available options is it possible ? -
Menuedit doesn't help you edit the actual menu visuals.
In order to do that you'd have to tear the whole menu vob apart and put it back together again after editing the "picture".
Oh, and by the way, that "picture" could be a movie - they you end up having to edit a movie, not just a picture.
The key thing menuedit allows you to do is reconfigure the buttons so that there's no way to navigate to it. -
Hi guys,
But for example i don't want to keep the special feature at all.
(I mean including the special feature movie NOT the actual movie)
I have registered menuedit and it doesn't help to delete / edit the picture.
Can we Edit the "picture" where the word "Special Feature" dissappear from the main menu. So it looks nice and neat. Not only JUST disable the button. That what i intend to do. Looks more professional.

And how are you going to restore the background when you do that?
If the background is flat black, or a solid color - it might be simple, but when it's on a motion picture or a complicated multicolor backgroun - you could spend a week trying to take it out and have the result look good.
I understand (as do others, I'm sure) that you don't want the feature - it might look "more professional" to take the words away completely, but have you ever tried to do it with even a picture, let alone a movie?
There are some filters for movies to take away logos, and they do kind of work, but they leave a blurred mess (Search for "logoaway", I think is what one of them is called)......
Personally, I'm satisfied with keeping the remote control from being able to highlight the offending section. -
Sorry to mislead you
I mean to "EDIT" the background PICTURE. (but i don't know how)
Maybe edit with Photoshop
For example: There are 4 buttons on main menu.
1 Play Movie, 1 for Chapters, 1 for Setup, and 1 for Special Feature
I just want to remove the SPecial feature movie and the button.
Therefore on the main menu on 3 buttons visible.
Play movie, Chapters, and Setup only. The Special Feature button is dissappear
or even make a "Obivious" different color from the other buttons.
For example: if all the buttons bright white, the unwanted button is Dark Grey (^_^)
Is there any way to do that? Thanks for the trouble -
one way is to create your own menu using any photo editing program. ie. photoshop. I mostly capture that original menu image in windvd then import it to app called dvd menu studio(great program) Lots of options. use clone key or something to hide that text that you don't want to be seen on the menu page ... create menu/submenu than export psd or bmp to maestro and create dvd

Hi Johnjohn,
Can we rip and edit the existing image/background of main menu?
if yes, with what kinda application?
All i want is to rip the image of the menu,
edit the image menu,
then put it back and
Finally edit the button with menuedit and DONE!
Here is a sample that okay to me
The selectable buttons are in white, and non-selectable and in grey
Like i'm going to take out the "sneak peeks" on the main menu
Of course, the best in take out the wording :P
Thankz
