    I have been trying to use the ASF-Recorder with limited success, the problem is that i have to get the exact URL of a file to get it!! Is there a program that can be built into WMP that self-detects the URL of the ASF/WMV/ASX file?, because this is really getting irritating. Dont post a link, but if you could tell me what sort of program i should look for that would be good.

    I found a program on download.com called something like wmrecorder. It works well for me!

    Depending on who is doing streaming, the layers of complications can get deep. Best way is url snooper and packet sniffer to get the real address of the file
