Hey guys, I have a bunch of photos all in seperate folders for which country they are from and I would like to stick them onto CD to play in a standalone DVD recorder.
I have tried searching but only found slideshows which is not what I want, also tried just throwing the pictures on there but they just played in a slideshow.
What I want is something like in explorer, photos in rows with a large preview in the area above, and the option to select that picture to view it fullscreen then browse to next/previous or return to the photo list (ANYTHING that isn't a damn slideshow will do for now, just want some control over it). I want it completely interactive with custom named folders etc for each country not all just bundled into one menu, though if I have to do that I suppose I could live with it. Either paid or free software, whatever is the most flexible google seemed pretty useless finding me any answers on this.
Thanks for any help

Can be done with some elaborate DVD authoring, using something like DVD-Lab Pro, but it requires you to be rather familiar with advanced DVD authoring.

Thanks I got DVD-Lab Pro but totally lost already. If anyone has a template something like what I want I can use that would be great, until then I have some experimenting to do.

Another example of where technological change isn't always for the better...
Years ago, you could open up WinOnCD (a VCD authoring, and CD burning app) and choose the "Picture CD" template, point to folder(s) of pictures, and it would automatically create 3x3 wide or 4x4 wide thumbnailed heirarchical menus, grouped by folder. These would be converted into 2 simultaneous and corresponding forms (coexisting on the same disc): VCD2.0 and disc-based HTML "Photo" website. The VCD would have encoded/authored MPEG still versions (704x480 rez), while the HTML_Photo_webCD would have the original source jpgs (at their original rez).
You'd think "consumer-friendly" CD/DVD apps like Roxio (which long ago took over that app and killed it) or Nero, etc. would have something comparable.
Maybe you can find a copy on ebay, etc...
