  8. Did you notice if Instant copy went through the 5 phase check before trans-coding? I get the same error message on Lord of the Rings (part 1) . Instant Copy goes straight to trans-coding, it doesn't do the 5 phase check. I tried 5 times with this movie and failed each time . I then tried The Godfather (part 1) and Instant Copy first di the 5 phase check then trans-coded and successfully completed. Weird .

I think this may be disc related, becuase I only get this with Spartacus (latest Edition), tried about 5/6 times and I have not done any changes to be PC though it has worked fine previously. Then tried with Clockwork Orange and all was fine. However Spartacus work fine with DVD2ONE.

it doesn't have to be that long to crash it

    what is your error?

have you renamed the PDI file to .VOB so that you can play it?

then you can see where it is crashing, cos IC works a little ahead of itself, so you need to find the place where it crashes within the originall VOB's and let it play on

then you will see what is crashing IC and maybe you can bypass it somehow

you gotta do a little investigating yourself if you wanna come up with the solution to the problem

I only did the Simpsons cos everyone else was having problems and just so happened to have the same DVD. That's how I came up with the temporary fix but some DVD's cannot be fixed until Pinnacle sort the problem out

Pinnacle have downloaded DVD's I made that crashes IC in this thread HERE (near the bottom of 1st page), and they are now working on a fix, tho it's been 3 weeks and still no fix

so for now we just gotta wait of you can't bypass the error

  13. i found out a day or so ago why bridge on river kwai was making it crash.
when it was switching layers. they changed the vts sets differently than i had ever seen before. and maybe that is why. at any rate i just used dvdshrink to do it. i used to use IC7 on everything and i was VERY happy with it. now im having to use shrink. i would rather use IC7. oh well, hopefully a new patch will come quickly but i doubt it.
