Hi,
When capturing my videotapes to my PC, I am not happy with the results of the capture: the panning of the video (when you move the camera from left to right) leads to jerky results. If you want to know what I mean, please check out http://217.22.74.180/video.htm.
Now, some background info: I use analog capture, and it doesn't matter if I capture on 720x576, 640x480 or 320x288. Also, changing the bitrate back to 1000-2000 bps does not make any difference. I've also tried uncompressed avi capture, but that only makes it worse!
I use a P4-2.4Gb, 1Gb RAM, WDC 1Gb 7200 harddisk with a Leadtek Winfast A250 MyVivo.
Can you help me? Should I buy another capturing card, or do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks!

You didn't mention how many frames you've dropped. Also try capturing at 25 frames/second instead of 30.
If you dropping to many frames this will surely make the motion of panning look crappy.
