just ripped x files but when i try in power dvd it comes up with error (this disc is not formatted to play in this region).
i know its region free so its not that.
as anybody had this problem or know how to get over it ?

thingimijig, what's up, friend..
Don't know if it's just us, but i'm beginning to think X-Files season discs are a bit 'unusual'. I had the same problem:

As for the solution, have you simple tried to insert a different disc to 'initialize' the player, then play your XF files?? As for me, I skipped the whole IFOedit stripping process (b/c PowerDVD refused to play my files due to 'incorrect format/region' error) and went straight to IC and had to guess the output size a couple of times before getting it correct at 4.33G.
Note: I never had X-Files problem until Season 3... ?? If anyone knows a solution, please let us know.. -

thanks for the reply mate but i decided to just pull the episodes of the disc and put them through maestro with a little menu.
