TMPGenc plus problems xVid to VCD

I'm trying to encode LOTR from xvid to VCD. I used Virtual Dub to encode the audio to a wav. The first seven minutes encodes perfectly, after that the audio is there but NO VIDEO. This takes place no matter where is the movie I begin and end and on either CD. Any help would surely be appreciated.......
