    USA transplant to UK can't get his S___ together to play UK DVD's.
    The Apex says Pal but it didn't play two from the Library. What gives?

    The Apex AD-500W DVD player has more than one playback mode in it: it has NTSC, PAL, and MULTI in it under SYSTEM from the remote. ???
    None of them actually worked other than the NTSC.

    Go to players section. If it is hackable, do so. It may have region protection.
