  2. Hi Mrsash

If the Max version is like my Dx, there isn't a dvd option, and there isn't anything in the help files.

I simply create a data disc and copy the relevant Video_ts & Audio_ts folders into the disc, (there is an option in the setup menus to recognise Video_ts as dvd, which should be turned on I think). Change the setting to close disc on completion, then record..et voila.

Simple as that, but no mention of dvd recording in the program itself.

  3. RecordNow DX also

What exactly do you have to do to make the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders? I have been unsing DVDshrink which outputs vobs, and other stuff. Do you have to reconvert the stuff into a diff format, or do you just slap certain files in a folder you name VIDEO_TS and others in a file you name AUDIO_TS??

    Thanks

Yes just create a VIDEO_TS folder and put the files in it. You really don't need any AUDIO_TS folder.

    Hi,

I ran into similar problems couple of weeks ago. Actually it's very easy to burn a DVD with Recordnow IF YOU KNOW HOW.
1/ Put all DVDShrink output files in a folder VIDEO_TS
    2/ Start Recordnow>Data disc /close wizard/>Select DATA from Menu>Add the folder VIDEO_TS /the folder not the files!/>Select New Volume>Change Volume Label /The Matrix for ex.-opt./>Burn
I hope I didn't miss anything. If yes correct me please.
Burne several Verbatim +Rs 2.4X this way all worked fine even on PS2.

    Enjoy!

Well i wanted to make a dvd from the something.mpg file i had created from studio 8, since S8 completely failed burning it on dvd. Now i rerendered the entire mpg as dvd in S8 and it worked. but two probs

how can i burn something.mpg file as dvd in recordnow max? When i first installed it i saw dvd video option and it disappered next time and only showed video cd in its place, figure that one.

The second time rendered the footage on to dvd, i can only fastforward 2x any faster and it does not work, in fact it irractically plays any part of the mpg

    thanks for your help guys

You have to author it first. I used SDV 7 for capturing, editing and output to AVI. I then use TMPENc for encoding to MPEG-2 (Default Settings for DVD). Then I author using either Dazzle DVD Complete or ULEAD DVD Movie Factory. Both these authoring programs create VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders. Only the VIDEO_TS folder contains any files. I then burn the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to a DVD in RecordNow using the Create Data Disc Option. I've made several home movies this way that play just fine in my Standalone DVD player.
