div4??? A newbie who is getting frustrated.

have a 700mg file and it said it is a divX .avi file but it wont play on the avi previwer, it says its a Div4 codec but all i get is sound no video. Windows player also wont play.
I want to convert it to a vcd is it possible or do I have a bad file. Could someone point me in the right direction of what to do or what article to read.
I do have Panasonic Encoder and TpmgEnc installed on my computer.

Sounds like you don't have the proper video codec installed in your computer. Load it into gspot and it will tell you exactly what codec you need. Then see if it is available in the tools section of this web page. If not do a google search for it.
