  1. Is it ok to run other programs, such as safari, and ichat, while the computer is running DVD2one or Re-encoding mp2 lets say? I know it takes proc time but is that all it affects? Thanks

  2. No prolem. You can do whatever you want during the time DVD2One is working. since OS X is UNIX every app has its own memory and wont be affected by you running other apps. Its only going to take a while longer to process the DVD.

And it does add quite a bit of time to the process if you are doing other things, but it does not hurt the encoding in anyway.

  4. I could swear that APACK crashes when I do other things in OSX. Can't be positive but if I leave the computer alone (no browser) it never crashes.

I have run up to 5 other programs while encoding on a Quicksilver 867. Just extends the time for encoding, does not affect the process. 8)

I've run APack hundreds of times with other applications running and it's never crashed.
