Please help. When importing an avi file into DVDit, the program changes the file from 720x480 to 360x240. The avi file comes from a digital camcorder. I have tried DV type I and type II formats with the same results. As for mpegs, they import without any problems. Is there any way to import avi files into DVDit in their original resolution?
I have found this problem posted on other forums but nobody seems to know what to do about it.![]()

I don't believe DVDit is to blame here. I believe it is due to an arcane setting in the Microsoft DV codec. The only way I know to change it is through Windows Media Player. Here is a link that explains the procedure:

Note: I believe the procedure for WMP 8 and 9 is the same as for WMP 7.
Hope this helps. -
Thanks so much. It seems the procedure does not work with WMP 7 but definitely works with WMP 6.
