  1. I have the AIW Radeon and updated my drivers. Now anything I capture won't play in either Windows Media player or ATI file player. Yet I can view it in Ulead MediaStudio and render it to a final movie file. But I cannot then view that rendered file in either Media Player or ATI File Player.

I tried uninstalling then reinstalling from my ATI disks, but no luck. Still won't play. I can play other videos in both players, just not captured stuff.

Can anyone help me out with this one??

    Thanks!

  3. Sure, I'm capturing straight to SVCD 480X480 MPEG format. I haven't had any problems viewing previous captures till upgrading my drivers.

I also downladed Virtual Dub recently, could that have anything to do with it?

I suspect something may have gotten messed up with your MPEG-2 codec (SVCD uses MPEG-2 format.) Try capturing to MPEG-1 format and see if that will play. If the MPEG-1 format file plays, that narrows it down further. Providing the MPEG-1 file plays, I suggest reloading your DVD player software. Usually when a DVD player software is loaded it installs an MPEG-2 codec (required for DVDs also.)

If you installed the "normal" version of VirtualDub it shouldn't have caused any problems with MPEGs as it captures to avi format.

  5. Well, I just tried reinstalling the DVD software. While I can capture and play MPEG 1 files, I still can't view MPEG 2 video that I capture.

    Help!
