  1. Hi
Hope you can help me with this one!
    RIGHT:

I have a Downloaded movie at 23.97fps at NTSC at very good (i think) quality. I have checked the frames using vdub and all is ok - no bad frames.
I've extracted the audio to wav. I have then inserted video to Tempgenc and the wav to the audio. I then converted/ encoded to 23.97fps NTSC (tempgenc). When I play this through Movie factory II, NTSC setting i get about 20 seconds or more audio B4 the vid. Whats going on? Do I have to do anything further? I have tried converting this a few times. I have also read about keeping the 4:2 pulldown using Tempgenc due to the 23.97fps, but still i have problems. What am I missing ? I'm sure its got something to do with the fps.
    Any whizz kids

  3. I saved the wav at 48 as i want it in DVD format. Is it this thats causing the problems then? I hope so - so simple. I'll give it a go

  5. Is it a gradual sync loss, or all out of sync by the same amount?

  6. The audio is out of sinq from the start. I've checked the length of the video against the length of the audio and both are the same. I'm sure its got something to do with the VBR audio warning. I read somewhere that avi and VBR audio warning don't work. Is this true? There must be ways around this. All my D/L videos are similar formats, i do hope to get them all on DVD but it isn't looking hopeful.
The audio extracted from Vdub is LPCM and is 1536KBits/sec, 48000Hz, stereo. I'm actually checking the video and audio using moviefactory 2 (preview sreen) would this create audio to appear to be out of sinq?

  7. Open the file in nandub (offshoot of virtualddub) as it supports vbr audio.

  8. Hurrah! I've cracked it - Only took about 3 weeks! heh
In the end i converted the audio to 48K using virtual dub, full processing option. After saving this I opened the audio with goldwave and saved. This is what I then loaded into TMPgenc Audio - Its in perfect sinc!
I feel like having a drink now to celebrate
Thanks for taking your time to answer and help
