does any one know how to copy a dvd to vhs?

This is relatively simple as follows :-
1. Connect the SCART lead from the DVD player into the back of the Video - Press PLAY on the DVD Player and RECORD on the Video ..
(if you use phono connectors - then you want the DVD out (composite video OUT (yellow) + audio left & right (red and white) OUT going to the equilivant IN sockets on your Video)
BUT
Macrovision will probably be enabled if it's a commercial DVD and your DVD Player hasn't been modified. Resulting in a crappy copy that is probably not watchable ... You can get around this with devices - usually called 'video stablizers' - do a search on the web to find out more ...
