I am going to buy a Dazzle Capture device, and was debating between the $70 Dazzle 80 USB and the $200 Dazzle DVC USB. I would rather buy the $70 one, but my question is this: The Dazzle 80 captures below VCD resolution, and I wanted to know if it would be possible to convert it to VCD after I captured it at the lower resolution, or is the $200 version the only way to go?

I don't know about you, but I am tempted to buy a Dazzle 2. I like the idea of direct mpeg2 capture with hardware encoding. This could save a lot of time by doing away with all of the encoding times. Does anyone else have any experience with the Dazzle 2?

I recently bought the Dazzle usb 80 jobby and thankfully was able to return it the next day, it was pants!
I've just received the DVCII which I've seen nothing bad said about it.
If you're in the UK, the cheapest place I found was ebuyer.com @ £169 ish, where Tiny sell for £250, although ebuyer customer services leave a lot to be desired.
Hope this helps
