Anyone found a Macrovision hack that works for this player?

Must be loads of these players out there, most stores are out of stock again.

    Player Info:

Just got a Pacific 1002 for Asda in Bury(13/12/02) for £69.83(3yr Guarantee) looks the part - plays VCDs, sVCDs, MP3s, CD-R(few makes) & CD-RW(Memorex) & DVD-Rs(few makes) with no problem.
Outputs: x1 Scart, x2 Video, Left & Right Stereo Audio, S-Video, optical & coaxial output.

The first one(Warrington) I had was faulty, Asda exchanged it.. & I've noticed a slight difference in the two players: when using the fast Forward, the first one said x1, x2, x4, x8, x16 & x32(DVD)... in the top right corner. This one just has FF 1, 2, 4 & 8(DVD)... in the left corner, & I'm sure the first player didn't have a zoom of x1.5 & this player makes a ping sound when you open the drawer - maybe there are different batches or something, anyone else's different?

This is the only hack that worked on my player:

Ensure Region 2 DVD is in the Player
    1. Press "setup"
    2. Press "1" for region 1 or press "2" for region 2...press "7" for bypass Region code.
    3. Press "PAUSE/STEP"
    4. Press "previous"(|<<)
    5. Press "next" (>>| )
    6. Press "setup"

Only this hack worked on the 1st player I had:

    1.on the remote press open/close
    2.press clear
    3.press 1
    4.press 3
    5.press 6
    6.press 9
7.press region number 1 to 6(0 for region free)
    8.press open/close
