  1. I have a large (1 gig) wmv file that I need to split into 2 files for transfer to cd. I tried TMPGenc, but I get an error that the file is the wrong type. Is there another program I could use to split and convert to mpg?

Try renaming the WMV to ASF and try again in TMPGenc. This is reported to work. The encoded MPG can be split after encode if needed.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
