  1. This is my first attempt at this, please bear with me.
I've downloaded a movie and and can't figure out how to convert the bin/cue files to mpg. Once unrared the file contains two folders labeled cd 1 & 2. Within these folders are an additional 50 rar files that each contain a bin & cue file.
I've read through the guides but can figure out how to get the programs to open the rar files to access the bin/cue files.
Can someone please provide me with a step by step on how to do the conversion? I've been playing with this for a week and can't figure it out.
    Thanks in advance!

A bin file is a disk image and the cue is the information file to enable burning of that image. You can burn straight to disk with one of the programs here: https://www.videohelp.com/burnbin.htm

Or you can extract the mpeg from the bin file if that's what you want. I believe Isobuster does that.

  3. I haven't tried VCDEasy yet thanks!
Do I need to unrar all of the files that contain the bin/cue files?
    Here's what I'm doing...
    1. Download file
    2. Unrar to folder-floder contains cd1&2 with 50 rar files each

Do I now need to open the cd folders and unrar the 50 or so files contained within, or will VCDEasy allow me to access these?

No, VCDeasy will not open compressed rar files. You'll need to open all of them. You might need to alter the first line of the cue files which contain the path information pointing to the bin files. You can use any text editor to do that, like Notepad.

  5. Do your rar files have extensions like .r00 and r.01?

  6. I downloaded the newet version of vcdeasy and have gotten to the step where you press the cue/toc button and select the cue file but vcdeasy isn't allowing me to select the compressed rar files.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

  8. Each file in the list is labeled as follows...
    eso-basa-part01
    esp-basa-part02
    And so on...

The file eso-basa-part01 contains a bin file as well as the cue file.
Each of these files has the winrar icon before them.

Do I need to extract all of the data from these individual rar file?
I'm not quite sure where I'm messing this up.

    Thanks for all the help!

  10. You firstly need to extract the CUE/BIN images from the multi-rar achive.

Get (if you don't already have it) WinRAR and install it.

    Open the file named xxx.RAR.

Then, have WinRAR extract the CUE and BIN file to a new folder.

Open the CUE file in Notepad and have a look at the FIRST LINE where the path to the bin file is written.

If the path is incorrect (e.g., an absolute path to somewhere on the original person's HDD) fix it.

Then follow, the link before on burning CUE/BIN images to burn the image!

The point of a CUE/BIN image is that all the hard work of authoring the S/VCD has been done for you. All you need to do is BURN IT.

If you go around extracting stuff from the CUE/BIN image with VCDGear or ISOBuster, then you will lose any menus/chapters that were authored on the S/VCD.

  11. ok, I got!
I was able to extract the bin and cue files (changed the path of the cue file in notepad) and burn the cd.
When I placed it in my dvd player it gave me the message unable to play disk. I know that my player supports vcd, it says it does in the manual.
Then I tried to read the disk in my cd drive on my computer and it says that the disk isn't formatted.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

  12. Sounds like the burning stage screwed up...

Are you sure that you actually burned the disc? You didn't just do a "simulation" or something?
