    <rant>
    Ad's that take over your browser, that's what.

    Anyone been over to http://www.wired.com/ lately? No matter how much I click "close" or wait until the ad is finished the bloody thing keeps playing. If it was something like X10 or how to increase the size of certain body parts I would suspect there was some spyware lurking in my system somewhere....but this is an Intel ad !!!

    I have cookies enables and all that other stuff but it makes no difference...worst thing is, I cant get to their site to tell them all what a bunch of wally's they all are for not letting me view their site (not sure who's problem this is...Wired or Intel)

    AAAGGGGHGHHHH!!!!!!
    </rant>

    on another note....have a happy Easter all

    I just went to http://www.wired.com/ and I got no popup adds whatsoever. But ofcourse I'm using Mozzila The best Browser around. It can disable popups.
    Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

    Doh!!! That would be my problem.

    I use Mozilla at work for just that reason (stops all the porn popups) but don't have it at home.............yet.

    while I think of it..... (sorry for the double post).....

    The ad is more of a "Take over your browser and force you to look" ad rather than a popup. It has a "skip/close" button that does SFA.

    Quite the contrary. Turning off the programs is what makes all the "shit" appear.

  14. No problems with pop-up's because I use Earthlink Pop-Up Blocker but these things still annoy me:
    Drivers who don't use their turn signals or leave them on for 20 miles.
    Telemarketers.
    My noisy neighbors.
    Shopping carts with a bent wheel.
    Magazines with 20 subscription postcards inside.
    The mockingbird outside my bedroom window that keeps me awake at night.
    (as I look behind me)My boss.
