Hi i have a ADS INSTANT DVD.
I capture mpeg1 files verry easy with this unit.
And they playback fine on my pc.
But when burning them and play them on standalone vcd / dvd players i get green blocky artifacts sometimes.
Any1 have a sloution on this?![]()

Your DVD player has problems reading your disks and gives very high bit error rate, hence the large blocks in the video. Try another brand of disk, burn at a lower speed, or use another player.

You won't like the answer, but as one of the suckers who bought an ADS IDVD, get rid of it, as you will nothing but trouble with capture's with that unit, and will lose audio/video sync when editing. There are MUCH better devices out there now that do the same thing with out the same problems.

I was one of those suckers also. ADS Instant DVD is garbage. Went to Canopus. Currently have both ADVC-100 and ADVC-50 with DV Raptor Cards. Best combo and best capture. I have also owned various ATI capture cards (not really that good for capturing) and Winnov (better than ATI).
