mov to vcd

hello i ahve tried to convert mov to mpeg with tmpgenc but halfway through it freezes, i trird bink and smacker but that fins an error and cant complete the conversion, is there any program that can scan and fix mov files i think it has a few bad frames, i have quicktime pro but i cant find any thing about fixing the file, is there a sorenson 3 codec for virtualdub?

I had that issue a few times. After a defrag of the HD, and reboot system, it was fine on next try. May be that simple.

i have figured out which frames are corrupt but i have no way of editing them out cause all the progs i use freeze on the bad frames.

I have a sound problem when encoding .mov to other format like .mpg

The video is crisp; but no sound after all. I'm using tmpgenc plus.

the strange thing is: i have a friend that succesfully convert .mov to .mpg with his PC.

His spec is just the same as I ; the differences just he using athlon xp 1.8Ghz ( mine is 1.6Ghz) and his ddr memory is 256Mb ( mine is just 128Mb).
