Hi, I need a little help.
I have a DVD+R/RW, it's an NEC ND1100a, so far I can't get Nero, to recognize this drive at all, when it says to cgoose a drive, all it gives me as an option is "Image Recorder", I'm running nero 5.5.9.14. Is this the right version? If you have this drive what are you using to record? Do I have to install aspi drivers? Please help me, and thanks in advance for any advice!!

I have this exact same drive, it comes with any dell computer you buy. I use "CopyToDVD". It works great and I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Vric is correct in his reply. I will only add this. Did your NEC come with Nero. In other words did you 1. Buy the computer OEM with the NEC installed along with Nero or 2. Buy the NEC from a retailer with some other buning program bundled with it. Cause unless you own a full retail version of Nero, 9 times out of ten, the copy of Nero that comes with the writer supports only that piece of hardware. Part of their anti-copying program. Make sure also that you writer is showing up in the device manager. And lastly if Nero came with your computer or boxed NEC then you have a different problem.

This explains why Nero won't recognize it. Well I'll leave where you get a copy up to you. In US at Best Buy $65.00.

Yes, with limits on functionality, no VCD or DVD plugin. And I don't know how many days it will last until it expires on your system. I've never needed to download the demo version but thats how most other demos work. Try it and see.
