I'm a total newbie on dvd 2 avi conversion and have been searching for an answer to fix an audio sync. I converted a .vob file to avi with Pinoy's Guide and tried to use Virtual Dub then DVDX 2.0. All failed. The audio is out of sync. I tried different FPS's but the music is either late or skipping. So can anyone help with the best softwares to use and best settings to achieve the right audio sync and video quality. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.![]()

I never used DVDx. But when I wanted to learn how to encode to DivX, I went to www.doom9.org. Don't forget, I'm a newbie also.
Gordian Knot is a very good DVD2DivX all-in-one tool. I don't think you can make mistakes, because I had very good results.
