I have been sent two PC created SVCD's that are odd. On my set top box they both play but the sound is broken up so it's unviewable. On my MacOS X machine they will both play fine with VLC 0.5.3. When I try and command line copy the AVSEQ01.MPG files from either disk to my hard drive I get: cp: AVSEQ01.MPG: Input/output error almost immediately.
When I try a drag copy I also get an error.
df says the following:
/dev/disk2s0 1200 1200 0 100% /Volumes/NEW
This is clearly wrong as the disks have a 40min movies that play fine on VLC.
ls -al says:
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 732919808 Dec 17 04:52 AVSEQ01.MPG
get info also claims the volume is only roughly 1200k long.
Anyone know what's going on here, and how I might be able to get the AVSEQ01.MPG file onto my hard drive?
