if after encoding an avi file to svcd (vbr)... can i split it .. and is spliting it lead to problem like audio asyncrosy... i remember that cutting it will lead to a big file.. am i right??. thanks....Sam

Yes, you can cut mpeg2-SVCD files using TMPGEnc, check the Edit section for a How To. I have heard of problems with the sound going out of sync, especially with VBR encoded videos. I've never had the problem myself. Personally, I use the Souce Range Function in TMPGEnc to limit the size of the file to one disk and I also Batch encode. I avoid cutting whenever possible.

Cut with bbmpeg, the best "svcd cutter"...you can only cut by size though.
