  1. I'm trying to make a backup copy of my some DVDs I own by using Baldrick's method of DVDDecryptor and InstantCopy to get a DVD-9 to a single DVD-R.

    I'm trying to backup my copy of "Friends:Season 2", (it's a 4 DVD set).
I wanted to make a 1:1 copy with all the extras included.

The first DVD copied fine, I can play the DVD-R and select any of the 6 episodes and watch it without a problem.

The second DVD copied without any errors, but when I put the DVD-R into my standalone DVD player, I can only select and watch the first episode on that DVD. When I select the other episodes the player ejects the DVD-R.

The only difference between the first DVD and the 2nd, (except of course different episodes), is that the 2nd DVD has a "Director's Commentary" on one of the episodes.

Do you think that commentary would be causing the problem?

What can I do to make a good DVD-9 to DVD-5 copy including all the extras?

    Thanks,
    Urbs

I would try using DVD2ONE and do a full disk mode and put on RW disc and see what happens. Not sure why it did that.

  3. Use DVDSHRINK mate,,with this you can just let the prog do the decripting and resizing for you or you can choose which files to shrink and which files to leave..And bingo you have a perfect copy of the original dvd with the the menu features intact..........

Quick hint I always use dvd drecripter to copy the dick to my h/drive first, just to get rid of all the copyright codes and stuff, then resize it through dvdshrink..........Give it a go mate
