I'm doing a small project, and on of the requirements is that the video has to be MPEG2 24bit!

When i work in vegas, it seems like i'm working in 32bit, and in the export menu for the MainConcept MPEG2 Exporter menu, i dont see a option for exporting to 24bit.

    Are MPEG2 always 24bit?

Are there any tools that can detect/read the color bits, to dertermine what colorbits the file uses?

    Greetings, jot

32 bit is usually only for formats that support an alpha channel (the extra 8 bits being for the alpha mask) and some lossless codecs. If there is no options to select, then assume 24 bits. Mpeg2 for DVD is 24 bit.
