vedio for website

I'm planning to build a website well contain an on demand educational movies , i thinck it don't need high resolution because it has no high detailes some text and my desktop to explaine programs i want to work on ..
Probelm is i don't know how to compress these files , and what streaming software to use >>

Flash 8 and use the built in Flash video encoder ($700 though...)

700$ for program is too much money for me ..
is there any freeware to do that ?

You can use the free Riva FLV Encoder but you also need to include a flash player and make a flash swf. Or use On2 Flix Video ($40), very easy to use and gooood quality and makes flash swf directly.

Or make WMV as mats says with WME or WMM.

I too have had good success with the "Flix" products. AFAIK, they're the only ones that do Flash 8 video less expensively, except for the $700 Adobe package mentioned above. From what I've seen, Flash 8 is a lot better quality and now almost as widespread as Flash 7. But all Flash video is cross-platform and hassle-free, which are its biggest advantages IMO.

i'm not from usa or even my mother language is english so, it is not important to spill english words right ,, the important thing is how to use the technology right.. not the words

There is still no Flash 8 plugin for linux and no plugin at all for x86-64. Not exactly cross platform.

For screen capture, etc. you are probably better off doing it directly in flash rather than with video using something like RoboDemo which I think is now Adobe Captivate ($600USD).

Or use Wink ! Free and very easy to use and you can easily also add text, buttons and such.
