In my multimedia class we have to find the A/V word based on the following clues:
1. Same # of letters as the word redact (so a 6 letter word)
2. Places points within the audio/video file
We have to use a forum to find the answer. Thanks for your help!

Thanks to everyone that helped. All the answers matched the clues pretty well. The answer he was looking for in case you were wondering was marker.

This is a waste of our time. Your prof should pay us for teaching his/her class how to use a forum. How about instead having your prof assign the task of using the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page to find the answer to a question. The way your prof is having your class use this forum will lead to folks not answering your real questions as you wasted our time in the past.

You wasted more time writing your reply than reading the question.

I realize that but imagine if every multi-media class taught had every student do the same exercise. It would be really painful sifting through the thousands of "questions" that could be found in the FAQ. It is nice to have students ask their own questions here as it usually starts interesting discussions. My problem is when they are asking contrived questions.

I kind of agree with trossin, this same question was asked on another forum I frequent by about 3 different people. If a couple of hundred professors took that approach........

I see you want to know the answer to the following:
What does DV stand for?
Well young grasshopper it depends on the context. It could mean "digital video" or it could mean the type of compression used on DV cams. Divx , mpeg, mov.... etc are all "digtial video" but only DV-AVI is DV. :P
