Plain and simple: Not the way you think.
You can feed off an AIW in a server-client sort of way, but this "feature" proved difficult to implement and is no longer featured.
PS: Just saw "wirelessly" No way nadda. ... well, you could if you tossed enough system manager talent. -
well idk. if i can stream a dvd wirelessly smoothly with power dvd(well a shrunk dvd using dvd shrink) i dont see why not tv in mpeg-2 format.
(the dvd stream did break up a bit at ~5mbps)
ps whats an AIW? -
ok i got that. how do i set this up on my network?
EDIT: oops wait a minute, by server-client, do you mean that the host computer would have to act as a slave by using "remote desktop"? or what?
also whats "system manager talent"? -
Simplest way, set up a pull network with
Windows Media Encoder 9 Series
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx
(see Baldrick's guide https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=244268 but use "broadcast a live event" mode)
or
http://www.videolan.org/
(also see Baldrick's guide https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=259354)
Feed the tuner card to the pull server. Watch in a browser window or player on the distant computer. Channel changing will require a RF remote control. -
there must be a software version of this "rf remote controll".
if not then it must be possible to create 1. -

Correction: I said "push" when I meant "Client Pull" for choice of network strategy. I corrected above. Push means uploading to a separate distribution server. Pull means the browser or player initiates the connection. -
hmmm... A software remote controller would be much better as i dont feel like lugging around a 5.5 lb tablet pc and a remote controller.
If only i knew a good coder...
Alright well thanks guys, I appreciate all the help and will post back with results of transmission attempts. -

ah well at anyrate it still is pretty bad ass. The technology will probably improve over a couple of years. For now im gonna try to get in contact with someone with wmenc and ati to try to persuade improvements.
Thanks again! -
Another Question: Is there a capture card that is designed to be shared via home network (pref. wireless and preferably without software re-encoding)?
If not, is there one better suited than an ati all in wonder?
(preferably 1 that can have its channels changed by a remote computer)
