    I think thats a silly question.I say just store them in the same safe way that you've been storeing your CD-Rs and offical DVDs and everything should be fine

    I've been storing my DVD-R data discs in nylon sleeves (two discs per) and putting groups of thoses in plastic baggies. I then store these groups of baggies in a plastic container. I do this for space (I've created over 50 DVD-R data discs so far) and to protect the discs. I'm probably over doing this but the process works for me.

    Most important for longer term storage: (like CD's) store them in a closed box away from light and heat;
    for very important things I always store on 2 DVD's, each of a different brand, for example Maxell and Fuji

    PS: there are no stupid questions, only ..... answers

    The valuable part of the discs, the one you have to protect at any cost, is the top side. Never scratch , never heat , never mark with any ink on the top side. Don't even touch with dirty fingers if possible!
