  1. I recently downloaded Super C, for converting various formats of video to FLV. The version I downloaded a few weeks ago worked fine, then I was informed to update so I did. Now all my rendered FLV files look washed out, does anyone have experience with the latest version (June 10, 2009) ? With the default settings the previous version was fine. Can I get rid of that washed out look in the latest version ? I use Super C cause it's free and it's pretty good and I like the option that you can choose how many seconds into the video you want to spit out a image from the video. Unless someone has other options for me ?

i am not having the issue you are, however, with the latestest updated version, i am no longer able to select and mkv container to encode a fraps video with 48hz w/6 channels. i can only select 6 channels when selecting 44hz or if i choose ac3 and not aac. when i select ac3 and encode, the audio play a high frequency sound like in transformers.

  3. It appears as though they have messed up this latest version of Super C. Are you using another converter ? I had thought I had found a good freeware converter and as it turns out, I haven't with the latest release.

I would convert to mp4 with h264 video and aac audio using handbrake or xvid4psp instead(click on them for guides)...as it works fine with latest flash also. You can take image screenshots using mpc instead, file->save image.

  5. Handbrake looks, like a good replacement to Super C. Now I have to use two programs, one to convert and one to save the image, that stinks but at least it will give me the results I want, compared to what the latest build of Super C is doing.

"Top quality" + freeware = rarely happens. Commercial professional software does not exist because people are stupid -- it's because it's better. Personally, I would NEVER encode Flash with anything other than Adobe Flash Encoder (or export from Premiere).

  7. Commercial professional does not exist, are you being sarcastic ? I find what most adobe programs put out in terms of H.264 hard video files, which I don't like.
