take music from a video

hi all is there anyway to just take the music from a video and make a cd from it thanks

If the source is avi, load it to virtualdub, choose "save to wav" and then convert to 44100 samplerate using your usual audio editor.

If the source is mpeg 1 or 2, use TMPEGenc 2.5. Choose "mpeg tools", demultiplex and extract the audio. If the source is mpeg 2, you can also use DVD2AVI to extract the audio. You have to convert to wave and change the sample rate from 48000 to 44100.

Actually, you can do the same with virtualdub too, but you have to use the mpeg2 plugin or the Virtualdub mpeg2 variation.
