Since I registered here Norton keeps advising that an intrusion attempt was blocked. Says that HTTP Winzip ActiveX Killbit was blocked from 88.196.209.242.
Does anyone know what this is and why I am getting it? I posted a picture of the warning in the attachment.

Since you registered or when you visit here? Be aware this site is visited and used by thousands of people daily, most with very good knowledge of such things. Any kind of malicious code or anything of that nature wouldn't go over lightly...Originally Posted by bc633@charter.net

it's starting to look like the site code might be infected with a drive-by activeX install and the ip's of users are being forwarded to the russian exploit site.

if you use i.e and your virus/worm definitions are more then 2 weeks old you may be infected.--

I have ran alomost every conceivable spyware scan over the past 5 days. This happened the first 3 times I visited this site. Has not happened with any other site. Only time I have ever seen this warning. That is why I posted the question here.

Are you saying this as a joke? Just trying to determine if you are being facetious. Not offended if that is the case, just wondering.Originally Posted by aedipuss

This message caught my eye, today I have experienced three times my browser (Opera) cloe while viewing this site. Twice this afternoon on my work PC and just a few minutes ago -while reading this topic- on my home laptop. All of these machines are using the latest version of Opera on W2k.
This afternoon I also experienced the site gave an error when trying to view a topic, something like 'database config' or something, sorry I can't recall. Anyone else having similar issues?
