    Hi,

Is there anyway to burn a DVD as a data disc , similar to making a CD data disc so that the

DVD disc can be watchable in a DVD/Divx home player ?

    Thanks,

    Steven

Please don't hijack topics. I removed your other post.

Just burn as UDF/ISO and it should work on many divx dvd players.

Thanks , Is there a guide on that?

I want to transfer avi , mpeg, files as data to a DVD data disc like I do when I burn them to a CD data disc.

If you have Nero, just choose the option to make a Data Disc under the easy use GUI (I forget what they call this as I never use it) or you can select the first option in Nero for DVD which is DVD-ROM disc and just drag and drop the files you want to burn into that. I don't know how to use other burners as I use Nero when I want to make data discs. Yes, it is very similar to making a CD data disc, except if you have any files greater than 2 GB in size, you MUST burn a UDF data disc as ISO won't support that file size.

For ImgBurn (another very popular burn program), just use "Build" mode. Select the files you want to burn and, well, burn. Follow Baldrick's and jman98's advice for file size/format.
