so i have two avi's (part 1 and part 2) and two .srt files (for part 1 and part 2).

my end goal is to just have one avi of the whole movie with the subtitles.

i can join the avi's no problem with virtualdubmod but i am having issues getting the subtitles in line.

first off, even if i play part 1, the subtitles show twice. Once underneather the picture like it should and another time in the bottom left of my screen. annoying.

i have tried to read all the guides but i am missing something and i have even used subtitle workshop to join the two .srt files.

what is the easiest way to just these two avi and two .srt files (i DO NOT need a permanent solution since i will be just watching this on my PC. in other words, i don't want to fully encode it again).

    thanks!!

    interesting, thought i tried that.

disabled showing subtitles in WMP and only had load "external" in the vobsub config and all looks good now.

    thanks!
