Very good addon. It works even with deprecated non-working widevine library on old browser, running in Windows 7 unlike WidevineProxy2. So, would be better to add strings for copy ready command for using with utilities, such as N_m3u8DL-RE, yt-dlp+mp4decrypt or may be other.

- device.wvd

or

- device_client_id_blob + device_private_key

or

into root directory of the extension where you cloned it .....
and that is it, as simple as that ......

You can uninstall the RMF (RadLight-Filter-Manager) its not needed

When I mention RTFM, I was referring you to do the same ......
If you not sure, "search it, using your favorite search engine"

Translating from EN -> PL works great (much better then CN -> EN), may not be 100% accurate here,
but will give you idea of how thins are/should be ...

*.wvd is in the correct place
but has a 0 KB in size ....


*.wvd is a file (that now can be downloaded from this forum as well)
that is created (using pywidevine) from "client_id.bin" + "private_key.pem" OR "device_client_id_blob" + "device_private_key"
so 2 files extracted from Device/Emulator ...(and automatically by this extension if you place the 2 files in the same DIR !!!)
If you read all the post I wrote, its somewhere there, and also in the Wiki that "FoxRefire" wrote ......
searching "wvd file" will give the clues
and how it is created ......and has been discussed on VH
numerous times ....

Before I cast my vote, I read about the person/questions and others to be able to make an informed decision.


When I execute code/app on my PC, I have a look where it come from, what it does, check is safe
and execute application.exe -? to see what it offers ......(if anything at all from CLI
but sometimes the amount of options is overwhelming and will ask for help once searching
for answer does not yield any meaningful answer.

If you have problems even on this step, may be you need an easier solution? Try trial version of StreamFab Downloader? You can download up to 3 videos per service during the trial period.

Did you try to open site with video in this app as in browser? You can see the "Download" button, it doesn't work?

Yes, but there are specific websites listed on which this software works, so not all of them and it's not cheap.

It works also on not listed sites with encrypted videos, I used it last year, when can't to get keys from cdrm-project. So, do you know, what you need to do with received keys, what utilities to use in next step? Would be better to add file/files upload input field instead of coping files to the addon directory, then addon can be packed to .xpi extension without needing to pack it with device files.
The problem is that on Firefox it works much slower, than on Chrome and now addon doesn't work with DRMToday license on both browsers. Also would be good to generate ready to download command in another text field.
