    Hi, does anyone know exactly how the hall flex sensor ribbon is supposed to sit in the NV-GS1EG's fold out monitor? Image attached shows the ribbon. From what I've seen, it seems like it is just supposed to sit in a position, folded over itself, however neither the manual nor anything online mentions this concretely.

    Looks to me like it should pass through the hinge and plug into a connector at the edge of the circuit board inside. You would have to dismantle it to reattach the plug.
