  1. http://www.johnisme.com/avi.shtml

I used the above guide and converted a 25fps xvid .avi to 23.fps and it works fine on my comp, audio sync and all. but when i convert using Cinema Craft Encoder (much faster than Tmpgenc) and burn it, it skips...well...it goes.....1,2,3,4,4,1,3,4,4 (frame 1,frame 2....etc). does this have to do with 3:2? not sure what to do. Can the "decimate" option help? how so, and how does this work? also, whats the difference between "Source rate adjustment" and "frame rate conversion" in VirtualDub. Thanks for help and sorry if this has been discussed before, i have searched with no luck, link me if you can find something.

    Im using VirtualDub-MPEG2 1.5.10

Did you run pulldown on your 23.997 fps video. NTSC dvd video has to be 29.97 fps.

Use pulldown.exe with gui on 23.976 mpv files that you create with cce, tmpgenc has templates for this type of file which applies pulldown during encoding.

    1) Please don't threadjack, start a new topic.

    2) Read some guides, there are several on framerate conversion
