  2. Is the audio in your AVI file Variable Bitrate MP3?, if so, that could be the problem... Get Virtualdub and load up the AVI files, it should then tell you if you have Variable Bitrate MP3 audio...

    Hi mh,

i opened the video file into virtualdub and i got the following message:

Virtualdub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the sorce avi file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 41743 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the entire audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder.

    This has lost me

  4. Just do exactly as it says. Open the file up, OK that message and save the audio as WAV. Then use your favourite audio editor to compress it into CBR MP3 (eg. 160kbps). Then use VirtualDub to open the video file save it using the new MP3 file as an audio source. That should sort out the problem.

Also, please try to choose a subject line that describes your problem. Subjects such as this are often simply passed over by most users - you will not get a decent answer quickly. Also, it makes forum searches more difficult for other users with the same problem.
