    Is there any free programs that are capable of capturing streaming videos of the net???

    Sure. Use Camstudio. In the tools section

    You define the area to be captured by using the "Set Region" menu command, start it up, start the streaming d/l, and it saves it as an AVI file. Very handy little app

    well I tried it and it works but it doesn't capture the streaming video just the background. Only a black box appears where the video suppose to be

    If the video is using overlays, you may need something else.

    I use StreamDown from CocSoft, but it's not free.

    SDP will get any Windows media you can obtain a valid address for.

    Yeah its because of the overlay. CamStudio works if I turn the overlays off.
