  1. hello,this is my first post(don't know much about videos)
    so whenever i have to download a streaming video,my download manager's( IDM ) little window on the top of the video has to be clicked and so i download that complete video,

    But how to capture only some parts of that video...like from 2nd minute to 3rd minute,then dropping the 4th minute,then from 5th to 6th...is there any program or method for that..

    I'm on windows 7,mozilla firefox

    I don't think it's possible using any downloading tool.

    Just edit your mp4/flv with avidemux later.

    It's possible if the vid streaming on rtmp/e protocol!!

  4. ooh,thanks a lot but "rtmp/e protocol" went over the head,but all of them are from youtube if that helps...
    ok, at least i can try..but how to download even "rtmp/e protocol" ones?

    ^ If that's a youtube video, video streams on HTTP protocol and it's not possible to downloading part of it!!

    For downloading from rtmp protocol, you can use many software like: IDM, StreamTransport, rtmpdump, GetFLV and ...
    but for rtmpe protocol, rtmpdump and StreamTransport are the best choice!!
