  1. I am heling a friend of mine install ffmpegX. He is having issues with installing Real-libs. He downloaded the installer required Real-libs file, then uncompressed it. I told him that he needs to point the ffmpegx installer to that uncompressed folder, which he did.

After that he still get the error saying:

    Code:
You must locate /client-1.1.5-DevRel_macos-gcc3-pb_all_clients/ directory in your disk by clicking on Locate... in order to install it.
What can he be doing wrong?

  2. Possibly he renamed the directory, or selected the compressed file.

  3. Thank you for the reply major,

That is what I have told him as well, but for some reason it is not working for him. I think something might be up with his Stuffit Expander, because he gets "Content" folders after uncompressing... those folders should not be visible after uncompressing. I suggested him trying to get the latest Expander. We will see.

I had the same problem here and the solution to it was … quite easy:
In the Open … dialogue, click on the Real-lib folder, then hit OK. That should do the trick.

I am having trouble finding this file: Real-libs. Finder is unable to locate it even after I installed Real Player.

    Anybody have a clue?

  6. It is not a file, it is the folder that you obtain when decompressing the file you downloaded from the link indicated on the installer window.

  7. After downloading everything mentioned, and pointing to the uncompressed folder i got from the link (no real-libs file in sight) I get this message:

##sh: -c: line 1: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `''
sh: -c: line 2: syntax error: unexpected end of file

PS The mpeg2enc file has a .txt extension. Is that ok? Thanks!
